My now husband of 4 years had the best proposal idea. While living in Salt Lake City, Utah, he decided to take me out to dinner one night and I thought he was going to pop the question over dinner. We arrived at the restaurant and some of his friends were there to my disappointment. We had a great meal but of course I was more than a little disappointed. He drove me home from dinner and walked me to my door, kissed me goodnight and left. Feeling now, more than a little upset now, I walked into my bedroom and found a suitcase on my bed with a note telling me to pack my bags for California, that we would be leaving the next morning. He had asked my dad for my hand in marriage and set everything up with my work, he even planned some of it with my mom. We left for California and he proposed to me at Dana Point during the most beautiful sunset ever. We both cried and have been happy ever since.
