My girlfriend and I often fed ducks. We also often took walks along the Provo River that meandered by my apartment. One rainy May day I asked my girlfriend to go feed some ducks with me (I had little hope of finding ducks in the downfall but both of us enjoy the rain). I grabbed a grocery bag I had bought that day that included bread and out of sight beneath the bread there was a bottle of sparkling apple cider. We walked beside the river until we came to a bridge that was “our spot” I got on one knee and pretended I was getting the bread out of the bag, but instead got out the cider and asked her to marry me (I was too poor at the time for an engagement ring). We drank apple cider. We fed ducks (we found some by the bridge even in the rain).
