Nightime marriage proposal story

My fiancée has always wanted a boy to come to her window at night and take her off into the woods to watch the stars (we live in the mountains). I’ve known this for years now. So, I came to her window about a week before Christmas and we ran off into the woods. I was a little ways a head of her when the path opened up into a small clearing. Just before she emerged into the clearing I hit a remote that I had in my pocket and the entire clearing lit up with white Christmas lights and paper lanterns. She gasped and stopped. I walked to a tree in the middle of all the lights, picked up my guitar from under it, and played her a song that I wrote as a part of the proposal. As I ended I pulled out a blue handkerchief with the ring in it. I got down on one knee and asked her to be my bride. She gave me an enthusiastic “yes!” and we watched the stars in celebration.
