I had a great marriage proposal all planned out– I was going to fly down to see her, take her out for a picnic by the banks of the river where we had first spent time alone together, and play her a song that I had written. The last line of the song was, obviously, “Will you marry me?” However, two days before the planned proposal I started carrying my ring in my pocket for fear that she would find it in my luggage. We were cuddling on the couch when she felt the box in my pocket and wouldn’t believe me when I swore it was my cell phone… so I took it out and asked her right then and there!
