Danielle was working as a camp counselor at Sea World Orlando for the summer. Danielle would take the campers to Discovery Cove, Sea World’s dolphin interaction resort, every Friday as their last day at camp. Knowing this, I made arrangements with Danielle’s counselors and staff to drive to Orlando and surprise her at Discovery Cove. During Danielle’s free time she was convinced to go for a swim in the tropical river with her other counselors. When Danielle came around the corner, I swam out from under a waterfall holding a sign reading “Danielle, Will You Marry Me?.” When Danielle realized what was happening I grabbed a treasure box hat had the ring in it from the side of the riverbank and got down on one knee, and nearly drowned doing so. I even arranged for there to be sparkling cider and enough champagne flukes for all of the counselors who had a part of the proposal to have a toast. A lot of Danielle’s campers where even there to see it all happen. It was extremely memorable!
